Cobra Manufacturing Sign the Armed Forces Covenant at Ministry of Defence Military and Business Event
Cobra Manufacturing were honoured to participate in the recent Military and Business Event hosted by the Ministry of Defence at the historic Cutler’s Hall in Sheffield.
The event brought together representatives from industry and the armed forces to explore the importance of supporting veterans as they transition into civilian employment.
A key moment in the event saw our CEO, Rachel Abbott DL, formally sign the Armed Forces Covenant, reinforcing Cobra Manufacturing’s ongoing commitment to supporting members of the Armed Forces community. The signing took place in the presence of RAF Air Commodore (North) Adam Samson, further underlining the significance of the occasion.
Our Engineering Manager, Jamie Sheppard IEng, GCGI, MIET, was invited to speak on behalf of Cobra Manufacturing. In his address, he highlighted the value of the Armed Forces Covenant and the critical role it plays in promoting employability among ex-service personnel. He also discussed the challenges that many service leavers face when entering the civilian workforce, and the steps employers can take to provide meaningful opportunities.
Cobra Manufacturing is proud to advocate for the skills and dedication that ex-military personnel bring to the manufacturing sector. We actively welcome applications from those with a service background.
